I can fit in a D just fine, but I'm a touch narrow, ...I have Tanel plate shoes, and they fit great! That is a good choice!

I am a true 14A... it is hard to find any shoe let alone umpire shoes...Tanels are UGLY!!!! That is why I use two insoles...a sponge/odor_eater type on bottom and Shock DR. turf insole over the top of that...helps but still not perfect.

I need a new belt, and was looking at ump-attire and cannot decide whether I want to get the 1 1/2 inch or the 1 3/4 inch belt. Which is better, and does it really matter?

Also, Jim, I was curious if you guys at ump-attire were going to have the Major League Polo umpire shirt this year in addition to the black polo. Thanks for everything you guys have done!

The 1 3/4 is prefered but there are some pants that they tight in. I use the 1 1/2 so I don't have to worry about it.

A great place to get a belt is a police/fire uniform store. There is usually one driving distance and you don't need to pay for shipping from an officials supplier. 1 3/4" is standard for postal uniforms. You can wear 1 1/2 or 1 3/4".... your choice. I would stay away from a patent leather belt. They were popular 6-7 years ago, but they are fading out of style. Plain black!!!! Looks good.

Postal workers. . . interesting. . .

F.Y.I
I found a black leather belt 1-3/4" at Atlantic Uniform for $8.75:
http://www.atlanticuniform.com/lettercarrier/bel204.htm

And at Skaggs Postal Uniforms a 1-3/4" is $13.46 with free shipping:
http://www.skaggspostal.com/scripts/...next=1&allot=0

Honigs sells a 1-3/4" leather belt for $19.95, and Ump-Attire sells same for $17.99.

Thanks, Chris. That is a good suggestion!

So you guys think that a regular leather belt is better than the patent leather belts?

I just got the patent leather belt this year and like it. I like the look. I'm also a fan of the 1 3/4 inch belts.

I have never had a patent leather belt, many of my guys either have hem or had them. I prefer the flat belt. Personal choice.
