Default Ump Attire Ultimate Umpire Ball Bag

I've used this bag for a few years now and love it. I realize others think its not a real ball bag. I was actually told by an evaluator to get rid of the pansy ball bag and get a normal one. I think some of the 'old school' guys are affraid of things that wern't around when Rockwell made his famous drawings.

This ball bag is made of more heavy weight material versus the typical nylon baseball bags. Inner pockets are a must for me, and I like the zippered pocket on the back for my keys and other misc items.

I'm getting ready to order a couple more of these. I need the zippered pocket for medical reasons, I have to carry an epinephrine injector and this bag makes that a more secure option for the injector and my car keys.

I bought and used one this year. It was Navy when I started with it in April, but had faded significantly by July.

The zippered area was awkward to use as the pocket was very large and my keys would slide to the farthest reaches of the pocket.

The regular pocket is a good size and easily holds 4 - 6 baseballs and 3 - 4 softballs. It may hold more but that's all I experienced. I did like the gathered top which I know some have identified as smitty-ish.

I would not recommend this bag.

although these ball bags get universal bad marks from evals, no one can deny your need for them....dont think twice about it....

I liked them, until I saw a photo of me with them on. Dork.

I gave them away.

Default Ump Attire has updated this ball bag

The new style is square/rectangle like any Honig's/Gerry Davis/traditional ball bag with a nylon twill material lined with waterproof lining and the hidden zipper pocket on the underside/back. I saw them in Chicago and they are nice. There should be no complaint by any of the traditional bag lovers. No elastic on them anywhere.

The new ball bag is referred to as "Ultimate Pro Style Umpire Ball Bag" (emphasis on "Pro Style"). Technically, it's a new product. Someone should start a new thread. Will be interesting to see the difference in reviews between the 2.
